The 77th anniversary of the Republic was celebrated jointly with the office of the General Officer Commanding (Maharashtra, Gujarat and Goa) on 26th January 2026. 24 Wounded Warriors were felicitated on the occasion. Lt. Gen. D. S. Kushwah, AVSM, SM, General Officer Commanding (Maharashtra, Gujarat and Goa area) presided over the function and felicitated the Wounded Warriors. Shri. P. S. Jayakumar, former Chairman and Managing Director of Bank of Baroda and Director in several companies was the Guest of Honour. The event was supported by Shriram Seva Sankalp Foundation, HDB Financial Services Ltd., B. I. Patel Charitable Trust, Encube Ethicals, State Bank of India, S. I. Investments Pvt. Ltd., Nihchal Israni Foundation, Fairchem Organics, Saraswat Co-operative Bank, Sauradip Chemicals Ltd. and Bharat RE Insurance Brokers Ltd. Society Tea gave a hamper containing the various products and variety of Tea to all the Wounded Warriors and also the sponsors of the event. Dynacons India gave silver coin of 30 gms each to all the Wounded Warriors. The formal function was followed by Desh Bhakti Geet by Klub Nostalgia.
