Ramakrishnan Murthy who is making strides as a vocalist, is a rare blend of mature temperance and youthful exuberance. Pliant voice, effortless singing, tremendous creativity and immense appeal are hallmark of Ramakrishna Murthy. His music encapsulates the distilled essence of the best of acknowledged masters, infused with fresh verve.

Growing up in Irvine, California, he was enrolled in music classes to stay connected to his Indian roots. His first teacher was Smt. Padma Kutty. In 2001, he began advanced vocal lessons under Delhi P. Sunder Rajan. He also learnt from Vaikom Jayachandran, Vairamangalam Lakshmi Narayanan, C. R. Vaidyanathan and Chengalput Ranganathan at various points of his musical journey. In 2011, he moved to Chennai. He is an A grade artiste of AIR and Doordarshan, Chennai.

Ramakrishna Murthy was conferred the Sri Shanmukha Shiromani Award in 2013.

One of the foremost South Indian classical vocalist, Sanjay Subrahmanyam is a torch bearer of the present generation of Carnatic musicians. He is known for his high energy and his music stands out in its uncompromising classical content. His vocal interpretations of several lesser known ragas and his deep interest in Tamil compositions have won him critical acclaim over the years.

A Chartered Accountant by qualification, he opted out in 2000 to devote wholetime to music. His Gurus violinist Shri. Lakshmi Narayana, Smt. Suganya Swaminathan, Smt. Rukmini Rajagopalan, Calcutta Krishnamoorthy and Sembannarkovil S.R.D. Vaidhyanathan have trained him to this present level of excellence. A self-confessed gadget freak, Sanjay has been on cutting edge of technology to impute freshness to every concert. Despite his varied interests, music is a constant – always in his environs, his family being Carnatic music aficionados. Sanjay strives to keep content fresh, explore unchartered territories and push the boundaries constantly not just in music but in all aspects of life.

He had the unique privilege of being conferred the Shanmukha Shironmani Award for young and promising artiste in 2000 and lifetime achievement award for music in the year 2014, Sri Shanmukhananda Sangeetha Kala Vibhushan, manifesting clearly his progress from a promising young musician to a maestro.

Trichur Brothers, Srikrishna Mohan and Ramkumar Mohan are well known for their stage presence and emotive delineation of ragas. They attribute their success to the musically rich environment they grew up. Their repertoire has a magnetic appeal that sustains the audience in them for long. Singularly strong tonal qualities endears them to the listener. They merge themselves into one without losing their individual identity. Madurai Balamani was their first teacher. They later came under the intensive training of late Nayyantikara Mohan Chandran for a decade. They are currently under the guidance of Guru P. S. Narayanaswamy. Both are Chartered Accountants. They sang pears to the Ganga with the official song of the Namami Gange Project. Their father Mridangist R. Mohan is their guiding light and supports them on the stage. They have been performing since late 1990. The brothers also compose and play world fusion under the label ‘Anubhooti’. The brothers were conferred the Shanmukha Shironmani Award for young musicians by our Sabha in 2015. At a time when classical music is celebrated in an unmatched manner in the country, Trichur Brothers are the embodiment of that great music, sublime spirit and their concerts promote an environment that echos our great culture.
