Malladi Brothers Sreeram Prasad and Ravikumar were born with a legacy and rich
tradition accrued through their grand father, Late Malladi Srirama Murthy and
through their father, a great Harikatha exponent of his time in Andhra Pradesh.
Both the brothers received musical training from their father - vocalist, Malladi
Suri Babu, himself a disciple of the great Late Voleti Venkateswarulu. Sangeetha
Kalanidhi Nedunuri Krishnamurthy, realizing the potential of Malladi Brothers
took them under his guidance to represent his rich style of music.Malladi brothers
possess a large repertoire of Carnatic compositions and possess a vibrant and
powerful voice. The brothers have been the most sought after maestros. They have
travelled extensively all over India and abroad promoting and preserving the rich
traditional music they represent. Malladis have several audio publications to their
credit.
Their style of singing blends a deep approach to learned composition with extended
forays into improvisation, covering rare ragas and commanding stages around the
world.

The eldest son and senior most disciple of the legendary Maharajapuram Santhanam,
comes from the garden village of melodies, Maharajapuram in Thanjavur district in
Tamil Nadu. He has the unique privilege of being tutored by two musical giants his
grandfather, Maharajapuram Viswanatha Iyer and his father.
His renditions are energy filled and his delivery vibrant yet soulful. He is blessed
with a deep knowledge of music and wide ranging repertoire. He comes in the direct
Shisya Parampara of Saint Thyagaraja. He has imbibed the salient qualities of his
“Gharana” and is the torchbearer to the wonderful tradition that he has inherited
through his great lineage.

Ramakrishnan Murthy who is making strides as a vocalist, is a rare blend of mature
temperance and youthful exuberance. Pliant voice, effortless singing, tremendous
creativity and immense appeal are hallmark of Ramakrishna Murthy. His music
encapsulates the distilled essence of the best of acknowledged masters, infused with
fresh verve.
Growing up in Irvine, California, he was enrolled in music classes to stay connected
to his Indian roots. His first teacher was Smt. Padma Kutty. In 2001, he began
advanced vocal lessons under Delhi P. Sunder Rajan. He also learnt from Vaikom
Jayachandran, Vairamangalam Lakshmi Narayanan, C. R. Vaidyanathan and
Chengalput Ranganathan at various points of his musical journey. In 2011, he
moved to Chennai. He is an A grade artiste of AIR and Doordarshan, Chennai.
Ramakrishna Murthy was conferred the Sri Shanmukha Shiromani Award in 2013.

One of the foremost South Indian classical vocalist, Sanjay Subrahmanyam is a
torch bearer of the present generation of Carnatic musicians. He is known for his
high energy and his music stands out in its uncompromising classical content. His
vocal interpretations of several lesser known ragas and his deep interest in Tamil
compositions have won him critical acclaim over the years.
A Chartered Accountant by qualification, he opted out in 2000 to devote wholetime
to music. His Gurus violinist Shri. Lakshmi Narayana, Smt. Suganya Swaminathan,
Smt. Rukmini Rajagopalan, Calcutta Krishnamoorthy and Sembannarkovil S.R.D.
Vaidhyanathan have trained him to this present level of excellence. A self-confessed
gadget freak, Sanjay has been on cutting edge of technology to impute freshness
to every concert. Despite his varied interests, music is a constant – always in his
environs, his family being Carnatic music aficionados. Sanjay strives to keep content
fresh, explore unchartered territories and push the boundaries constantly not just in
music but in all aspects of life.
He had the unique privilege of being conferred the Shanmukha Shironmani Award
for young and promising artiste in 2000 and lifetime achievement award for music
in the year 2014, Sri Shanmukhananda Sangeetha Kala Vibhushan, manifesting
clearly his progress from a promising young musician to a maestro.
The great artists of Carnatic Music have always sought after the infinite and taken us
along with them in their quest and striving. The best among them today, like Sanjay
Subrahmanyam, harmonize the wisdom and stabilizing influences of the past with
their own artistic and intellectual creativity.

Trichur Brothers, Srikrishna Mohan and Ramkumar Mohan are well known for
their stage presence and emotive delineation of ragas. They attribute their success
to the musically rich environment they grew up. Their repertoire has a magnetic
appeal that sustains the audience in them for long. Singularly strong tonal qualities
endears them to the listener. They merge themselves into one without losing their
individual identity. Madurai Balamani was their first teacher. They later came under
the intensive training of late Nayyantikara Mohan Chandran for a decade. They are
currently under the guidance of Guru P. S. Narayanaswamy. Both are Chartered
Accountants. They sang pears to the Ganga with the official song of the Namami
Gange Project. Their father Mridangist R. Mohan is their guiding light and supports
them on the stage. They have been performing since late 1990. The brothers also
compose and play world fusion under the label ‘Anubhooti’. The brothers were
conferred the Shanmukha Shironmani Award for young musicians by our Sabha in
2015. At a time when classical music is celebrated in an unmatched manner in the
country, Trichur Brothers are the embodiment of that great music, sublime spirit
and their concerts promote an environment that echos our great culture.

Saketharaman has always lived his life celebrating music. Hailing from a rich musical
heritage of Padmabhushan Lalgudi Jayaraman, Saketharaman had climbed up the
ladder of his passion steadily and devotedly. Immersed in music from a tender age
of 6, with over a quarter-century’s performance behind him, he is a unique musician
with a perfect blend of intellectuality, innovation and tradition. He believes in a
fluid approach to music, embracing the magic that unfolds with prolificacy and
originality. Often called the “Prince of Pallavis“, his presentations brim with
superlative virtuosity, brilliance and aesthetics. His penchant for clear diction and
his salutiferous music has been effectively resuscitating the Tamil Isai, music from
and before the Sangham literature.
